The leela Palace in delhi

The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts is an Indian luxury hospitality group founded in 1987 by Captain C. P. Krishnan Nair,who named it after his wife. Currently The Leela - as it is commonly referred to, is a group of eight luxury palaces and hotels, located in MumbaiGoaBangalore,ThiruvanathapuramGurgaonUdaipurNew Delhi and Chennai. The group has opened a new hotel in Chennai (2013) and has plans to open new hotels in Coimbatore and Agra, Lake Ashtamudi (KollamKerala) andJaipur. The company has marketing alliances with US-based Preferred Hotels and Resorts and is a member of Global Hotel Alliance based in Geneva, Switzerland.
 In October 2013 The Leela ended its marketing alliance with Germany-based Kempinski.
